1967 Episode 26 - Disaster Befalls Chicago!

Between Mayor Daley's election to a fourth term, the Cubs hanging up a 22nd straight season losing out on the pennant, and Green Bay winning the first Super Bowl, 1967 was already kind of a mess in Chicago - but factor in unexpected chaos and mayhem and you have a disaster for the ages along the lakefront! After an intro by friend of the show Jim Warner, proud Chicago residents Sarah & Joe (transplanted for a total of 32 years, at present) recount the swath of destruction wreaked by the fire at McCormick Place, the worst single-storm snowfall in city history, and the largest outbreak of tornadoes ever in Illinois! Along the way, they discuss the various wind, snow, and fire related events they've experienced since living in Cook County, and tease the large upcoming scripted show yet again, this time with a full fifteen seconds of new show audio!
