Of the various, wacky descriptions pouring into radio stations and on emergency channels, the one that stood out with vibrant tones of fear and disbelief was as a Fireball...
It Happened One Year presents a fully scripted, full-cast audio dramatization of these events, some of which are true, some that are theorized as probable, and some that can't possibly have happened. Or did they? The entire story enfolds across the next four weeks, over five episodes, with the vocal talents of nearly three dozen guests!

After an intro by friend of the show and The Visitors to Nova Scotia cast member Danielle Harris, Sarah & Joe take a generous look at three more shows from that fateful Friday - NBC's Accidental Family (airing directly after Star Trek), ABC's western Hondo (the only ABC show from 11/3/67 still available, apparently), and NBC's Kirk/Spock lead-in, Tarzan! The careers of those involved - Tony Roberts, Brenda Vaccaro, Arthur Penn, etc. - get a quick look, along with some attention to the show's obvious predecessor - How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Between Mayor Daley's election to a fourth term, the Cubs hanging up a 22nd straight season losing out on the pennant, and Green Bay winning the first Super Bowl, 1967 was already kind of a mess in Chicago - but factor in unexpected chaos and mayhem and you have a disaster for the ages along the lakefront! After an intro by friend of the show Jim Warner, proud Chicago residents Sarah & Joe (transplanted for a total of 32 years, at present) recount the swath of destruction wreaked by the fire at McCormick Place, the worst single-storm snowfall in city history, and the largest outbreak of tornadoes ever in Illinois! Along the way, they discuss the various wind, snow, and fire related events they've experienced since living in Cook County, and tease the large upcoming scripted show yet again, this time with a full fifteen seconds of new show audio! Robert Oppenheimer and the man that killed the man that "killed" the president, Jack Ruby! After an introduction by great friend of the show, The Batman himself (appearing in the upcoming The Visitors to Nova Scotia - trailer out now!), Sarah & Joe go deep into detail on the Manhattan Project, the Cold War, HUAC, conspiracy theories, alternate potential futures, the Kennedy assassination, the ridiculousness of the Warren Commission, and how these things continue to influence the modern day.

Listen as the hosts break down the classics and forgettables from these albums, plus go into their personal holiday favorites, the songs they can't stand, and why Barbra's "Jingle Bells" is the Die Hard of Christmas tunes.
